The Monster and The Farm

12 days of school with kiddos. 12 days. I really thought I beat the BTS monster this year.
But no. I sneezed all the way home from school Friday and was asleep on the sofa by 4:00 pm.
On Saturday, I opened the dishwasher mid-cycle (more than once) just to breathe in the steam. Please tell me I'm not the only one. Once again, the BTS monster won.
Today, I spent some time in the after hours clinic.
My prizes? A sting from a shot and 2 prescriptions.
Positives from this weekend: No guilt from staying on the sofa and NO housekeeping!

Moving on...I have cute pics to share with you. School pics, not monster pics.

This year, our K and 1st teachers chose a super cute theme that was not too over the top!
What did we do? We turned our hall into a farmyard!

We turned up the music, worked together in the hall, and in a few hours it was DONE!

We each created a farm animal and placed them in stalls on our doors.
Then, we hung bunting all the way down the hall.

I love these K-1 teachers!  We are truly blessed to have such an incredible team!

Here are a few peeks at our doors!
Before kidlets-Some of us didn't have our peek-inside holes cut yet!

Kindergarten Doors

To make the white stripes, we used the back side of borders or white duck tape.

We used butcher paper scraps to "stuff" our animals.

First Grade Doors

This one is mine! Our little cow makes me giggle!
Can you see his Cowbell??
The kiddos think this is our doorbell!

We also did easy peasy Back to School boards.
Bunting, Burlap, and Class Lists!
This will be super quick to change for fall!

Shiny floors and lots of bunting!
Welcome Back from your Farmyard friends!

    1. Thank you, Megan! We're thinking we need to keep those babies up all year and just make them seasonal! FYI: I was hoping to take a nap today, but the Decadron won't let me! Happy Sunday!!

  4. I am lovin' the class doors. So cute and creative. I know what you mean about getting sick. It's like you can go the whole summer perfectly well, and as soon as you put a swarm of kids in the mix you will catch everything under the sun. I often say, you think my immune system would be build up by now {but it is not}! Hope you feel better!

    1. Thank you, Jamie! You are right! Not even a summer cold! We had a large lesson on coughing and sneezing into our shoulders. Lots of germs flying about! Gotta love first graders!
      Have a great week!
